Role Overview
The Executive – Accounts & Finance will be responsible for executing and managing end-to-end accounting operations with strong hands-on involvement in day-to-day finance activities. The role requires practical expertise in financial accounting, banking, taxation, payroll support, compliance, audit coordination, and MIS reporting.
The position demands high accuracy, ownership, and the ability to independently manage complete accounting cycles while coordinating with internal teams, auditors, banks, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Book Closure
- Handle day-to-day accounting entries (Sales, Purchase, Journal, Bank, Payroll, Tax).
- Maintain accuracy of books of accounts in Tally/ERP.
- Perform monthly book closure activities including provisions, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Conduct ledger scrutiny and ensure proper classification of expenses.
- Support multi-branch accounting activities.
2. Billing, Receivables & Payables
- Prepare and validate customer invoices.
- Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding collections.
- Process vendor invoices and maintain payable schedules.
- Prepare ageing reports for receivables and payables.
- Reconcile vendor and customer ledgers periodically.
3. Banking & Treasury Operations
- Perform regular bank reconciliations.
- Process vendor payments, statutory payments, and employee reimbursements.
- Handle online banking transactions (RTGS/NEFT/IMPS).
- Maintain daily cash/bank balance reports.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval before payment processing.
4. Payroll & Expense Accounting
- Pass payroll accounting entries and verify statutory deductions.
- Assist in payroll reconciliation and compliance.
- Review and process employee expense claims.
- Coordinate with HR for payroll data accuracy.
5. Taxation & Compliance
- Assist in GST working, reconciliation, and return preparation.
- Support TDS calculation, return filing, and reconciliations.
- Maintain compliance calendar for GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax.
- Coordinate with consultants for statutory filings.
6. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare monthly MIS reports (Sales, Expenses, Cash Flow, Outstanding).
- Support preparation of financial summaries and variance reports.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting data compilation.
- Provide financial data as required by management.
7. Audit Support & Documentation
- Prepare schedules and reconciliations for internal and statutory audits.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and supporting records.
- Assist in financial statement preparation.
- Address audit queries and provide required details.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter / CMA Inter.
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally/ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Experience in multi-branch accounting is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and execution skills.
